Postponed matches from Block C will take place today. Block E begins tomorrow.

Block D Results (with votes in italic):

D-01: Yuzurizaki Nero vs Watanabe Kanako vs Shokatsuryou
Prediction: Yuzurizaki Nero > Shokatsuryou > Watanabe Kanako
Results: Yuzurizaki Nero > Shokatsuryou > Watanabe Kanako

Match went as expected. I’m surprised that Kanako managed to pass the 100 vote mark; maybe Star Driver isn’t that weak after all. Well, not like it really matters. Shuri ):

D-02: Maekawa-san vs Hatori Kanon vs Tamura Manami
Prediction: Maekawa-san > Tamura Manami > Hatori Kanon
Results: Maekawa-san > Tamura Manami > Hatori Kanon

Maekawa won, but it was really close between her and Manami. Looks like Kuroneko, Saori, and Ayase are going to wreak havoc in their matches while Kirino is stuck with dealing with Hanairo.

D-03: Senou Natsuru vs Ritos Tortilla vs Mikogami Riko
Prediction: Ritos Tortilla > Mikogami Riko > Senou Natsuru
Results: Ritos Tortilla > Mikogami Riko > Senou Natsuru

Yep, I was right. Even though more people have probably watched Kampfer than Campanella, saimoe just doesn’t like traps.

D-04: Ika Musume vs Lynette Bishop vs Akiyama Mio
Prediction: Ika Musume > Akiyama Mio > Lynette Bishop
Results: Ika Musume > Akiyama Mio > Lynette Bishop

Landslide victory for Ika Musume. I knew she’d win, but I thought Mio would at least try to put up a fight. Poor Lynette got cast aside.

D-05: Chiba Saori vs Tougi Shiro vs Sakai Hina
Prediction: Tougi Shiro > Sakai Hina > Chiba Saori
Results: Tougi Shiro > Chiba Saori > Sakai Hina

Shiro won as expected, but Saori came in a close second and Hina barely got any votes at all. I guess I should move Hourou Musuko up a notch in the list of things I still have to watch.

D-06: Kotegawa Yui vs Misaka Imouto vs Kamizaki Risa
Prediction: Misaka Imouto > Kotegawa Yui > Kamizaki Risa
Results: Kotegawa Yui > Misaka Imouto > Kamizaki Risa

Did not see this coming with TLR’s fairly weak performance in the preliminaries. Yui is an alright character though and she does get a lot of attention in TLR Darkness. I’m still surprised that Index faction let Misaka lose here though, especially since it’s not like the other side of the block with possibilities for future split votes.

D-07: Evangeline A.K. McDowell vs Tachibana Isana vs Satellizer el Bridget
Prediction: Evangeline A.K. McDowell > Tachibana Isana > Satellizer el Bridget
Results: Tachibana Isana > Evangeline A.K. McDowell > Satellizer el Bridget

I guess it can’t be helped. Even though Yumekui Merry sucked, it was still a recent show of average popularity with J.C. Staff’s signature animation style. Negima is just too old.

D-08: Fukiyose Seiri vs Takanashi Nao vs Eris
Prediction: Takanashi Nao > Fukiyose Seiri > Eris
Results: Takanashi Nao > Fukiyose Seiri > Eris

Nao sure got a lot of votes thanks to the Ika vs Mio match on the same day. The Index faction really is disappointing this time around, but things should start getting exciting in Block E.

D-09: Tokita Ayumi vs Last Order vs Sakurai-sensei
Prediction: Last Order > Sakurai-sensei > Tokita Ayumi
Results: Last Order > Sakurai-sensei > Tokita Ayumi

A clear victory for Last Order. Nichijou’s strength is too mediocre and Ayumi was too much of a minor side character. Well, Last Order is strong enough to win against most contestants anyway.

D-10: Stocking vs Kita no Miko vs Watarai Asuka
Prediction: Stocking > Watarai Asuka > Kita no Miko
Results: Stocking > Watarai Asuka > Kita no Miko

As expected. I’m still kinda surprised that Stocking did so much better than Panty did in the preliminaries… just goes to show how Japan’s tastes work. Well, I prefer Stocking too but Panty is alright. Sakana-chan reached the 100 votes mark which was nice to see. Monochrome is the only reason why I kept watching Star Driver for as long as I did.

D-11: Tatsuno Toshiko vs Zenigata Tsugiko vs Ootori Naru
Prediction: Tatsuno Toshiko > Ootori Naru > Zenigata Tsugiko
Results: Zenigata Tsugiko > Tatsuno Toshiko > Ootori Naru

Huh, I guess Milky Holmes is popular enough for even minor characters to win. Well, Toshiko isn’t the really saimoe-type anyway. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Naru got more votes, but Oretsuba was crap after all.

D-12: Musujime Awaki vs Kanzaki Kaori vs Yuno
Prediction: Yuno > Kanzaki Kaori > Musujime Awaki
Results: Yuno > Kanzaki Kaori > Musujime Awaki

Complete split between Kaori and Awaki, because none of them are popular enough for people to side with, letting Yuno breeze through this match. But still, 400 votes is a lot, even with the boost from the Ika/Mio match. Hidasketch is still hanging in there after all of these years.
