Posting on time for once (100% of this post was written during class).

Block C Results (with votes in italic):

C2-1: Ingrid Sorveig Sorgrims vs Isurugi Mio vs Kaname Madoka
Prediction: Kaname Madoka > Isurugi Mio > Ingrid Sorveig Sorgrims
Results: Kaname Madoka > Isurugi Mio > Ingrid Sorveig Sorgrims

Madoka destroys her competition, and she’ll destroy Elly in Round 3 as well. Mio barely even managed to get a third of Madoka’s votes, and Ini kinda just sat there and watched. Seeing the puella magi do so well just makes me more sad about Homura. ):

C2-2: Laura Bodewig vs Eclair Martinozzi vs Hercule Barton
Prediction: Laura Bodewig > Hercule Barton > Eclair Martinozzi
Results: Hercule Barton > Laura Bodewig > Eclair Martinozzi

Darn it, Laura lost, and by a lot as well. Even Eclair wasn’t that far behind. IS isn’t doing as well as it’s supposed to be; maybe Charlotte can change things around. Milky Holmes is doing better than I’d like, but Elly isn’t going to make it past Madoka anyway.

C2-3: Arashiyama Hotori vs Sanya V. Litvyak vs Elucia de Lute Ima
Prediction: Elucia de Lute Ima > Sanya V. Litvyak > Arashiyama Hotori
Results: Elucia de Lute Ima > Sanya V. Litvyak > Arashiyama Hotori

Sanya seemed to be doing better than Elsie for most of the match which kinda scared me because I was afraid my prediction was going to be wrong orz. In the end she won by a fairly large margin, which is nice. Strike Witches already has more than enough characters still in the tournament; variety is nice. Hotori lost miserably. w

C2-4: Honma Meiko vs Run vs Koumoto Madoka
Prediction: Run > Honma Meiko > Koumoto Madoka
Results: Run > Honma Meiko > Koumoto Madoka

Ano Hana was really popular and had really high ratings, but for some reason the girls didn’t do well in saimoe. Tsuruko was just unlucky (matched up against Madoka in the first round) whereas Anaru was taken out unexpectedly by Jewelpet. A-Channel on the other hand has been doing really well and Run is no exception. It’s looking good for Yuuko in her match, too.
Madoka didn’t have much presence here but it’s not like anyone had any expectations for HoshiKaka anyway.

Block D Results (with votes in italic):

D2-1: Yuzurizaki Nero vs Maekawa-san vs Ritos Tortilla
Prediction: Yuzurizaki Nero > Maekawa-san > Ritos Tortilla
Results: Yuzurizaki Nero > Maekawa-san > Ritos Tortilla

If Ryuuko couldn’t win, then Maekawa can’t either. Nero gets a lot of hate, but Milky Holmes is still pretty damn strong. Denpa Onna has now been completely wiped out; but I guess it’s not that surprising considering Erio’s first round loss. Well, whoever won would just be knocked out by Ika Musume next round anyway, since both are pretty weak. Ritos became yet another filler character.

D2-2: Ika Musume vs Tougi Shiro vs Kotegawa Yui
Prediction: Ika Musume > Kotegawa Yui > Tougi Shiro
Results: Ika Musume > Kotegawa Yui > Tougi Shiro

Shiro is cute and Yui is a nice tsundere, but neither stand a chance against Ika Musume, who’s going to go really far in this tournament especially since her second season has started airing.

D2-3: Tachibana Isana vs Takanashi Nao vs Last Order
Prediction: Last Order > Takanashi Nao > Tachibana Isana
Results: Last Order > Takanashi Nao > Tachibana Isana

Really really close match between Last Order and Nao; only a 2-vote difference. Even Isana did pretty well too. You’d think that Last Order would be stronger than this, being a loli Misaka, but I guess Japan prefers the real thing.

D2-4: Stocking vs Zenigata Tsugiko vs Yuno
Prediction: Yuno > Stocking > Zenigata Tsugiko
Results: Yuno > Stocking > Zenigata Tsugiko

Easy win for Yuno as expected. Stocking and Tsugiko didn’t stand a chance to begin with. Tsugiko was in second place for a while, probably just because of the Milky Holmes faction, but in the end Stocking took second place which is nice. Stocking is cool.
